When Mark Teixeira discovered Harlem RBI-a baseball, softball and academic program that focuses young people on getting into college-along with its DREAM Charter School, he stepped up to the plate to join the team. As a member of the Board of Directors, Mark has seen first-hand how Harlem RBI and DREAM have empowered young people and their families to recognize their potential and realize their dreams.
Now Mark wants you to join his Dream Team 25 to help build a home for Harlem RBI and DREAM that will level the field and build the future for East Harlem.
Harlem RBI and DREAM Charter School are changing more lives and growing faster than ever. So in 2011, Harlem RBI launched a capital campaign to build an innovative mixed-use facility in its community of East Harlem, New York City. The building will include program and office space for Harlem RBI, a permanent home for DREAM Charter School, low-income housing for East Harlem families and a newly renovated public park where the community can play, learn and grow.
